french toast for one

1 egg

1/3 cup milk

pinch salt

dash cinnamon

splash vanilla extract

2-3 slices bread (brioche, challah, sourdough)



In a shallow bowl beat the egg, whisk in the milk. Add the salt, cinnamon and vanilla.

Soak the bread in the egg misture, turning several times, until absobed.

Lightly butter a griddle or skillet over medium heat. Place the soaked bread on the hot pan and cook until golden about three mintues per side.

Serve hot with warm maple syrup

Serves 1

(note recipe can be doubled or tripled)
