red and bleu salad

Ingredients:

Handful of crisp hearts of romaine leaves

1-2 tablespoons French dressing (recipe below)

1 tablespoon crumbled high-quality blue cheese

Directions:

Chop the romaine leaves. Drizzle with dressing and lightly toss. Put on a plate. Sprinkle with crumbled blue cheese.

For each salad

Ingredients:
½ cup ketchup

½ cup vegetable oil

6 Tablespoons white wine or distilled vinegar

2 tablespoons sugar 

¼ teaspoon onion powder

½ teaspoon dry mustard

Dash of cayenne pepper

Dash of celery seeds

½ teaspoon kosher salt

¼ teaspoon freshly ground pepper

Directions:

Add all ingredients to lidded container and shake vigorously until combined. Dressing can be refrigerated in airtight container for one week.

Makes 1 cup
