lemon drop martini

Ingredients:

1.5 oz lemon vodka

.5 oz Cointreau 

1 oz simple syrup

1.5 oz fresh squeezed lemon juice

Up to 1.5 oz water as desired

Lemon twist for garnish

Directions:

Put in shaker with lots of ice and shake vigorously till very cold and icy.  Pour in sugar rimmed martini glass. Add a lemon slice or lemon twist.  

Makes 1 drink

simple syrup

Combine ½ cup water with ½ cup granulated sugar. Bring to a boil and stir until dissolved. Cool completely. Cover and refrigerate for up to one week.

sugar rim

Place granulated sugar on a small rimmed plate. Run a lemon slice around rim of a martini glass. Dip the rim in the sugar. Let set for at least 20 minutes.
