fresh margarita
Ingredients:
1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice
1 cup good tequila
1/2 cup Grand Marnier or triple sec
1/4 cup simple syrup
Directions:
For the simple syrup bring one cup of water to a boil, stir in one cup of sugar. Stir until completely dissolved. Cool completely. Refrigerate.
Combine 1/2 cup freshly squeezed lime juice, 1 cup good tequila, 1/2 cup Grand Marnier or triple sec, and 1/4 cup simple syrup. Refrigerate.
Rim glasses with a cut lime, then dip into coarse salt. The glasses can be prepared hours ahead of time.
Fill the glasses with ice or blend the margarita mix with a few ice cubes in a blender. Pour and serve.
Makes approximately 4 drinks
