deviled cheese bites

1 asiago cheese breadstick

4 ounces sharp cheddar cheese, grated

¼ cup chopped dill pickles

2 tablespoons mayonnaise

¼ cup chopped pimientos

Kosher salt

Hot sauce



Cut the breadstick into ¼ inch slices. Lightly toast in a toaster. Let cool and set aside.

Combine the cheddar, pickles, mayonnaise, and pimientos in a medium bowl. Season with salt and hot sauce. Can be made several days ahead. Cover and refrigerate.

Right before serving preheat the broiler. Cover a cookie sheet with heavy-duty foil.

Spread the cheese mixture on the bread rounds, place on the baking sheet and broil until melted and lightly browned, about 4 minutes.
