avocado toasts
avocado toastsIngredients:
1 ripe avocado
1 ficelle baguette
Maldon sea salt flakes
Directions:
Cut the ficelle baguette crosswise diagonally into thirds or fourths depending on its length, then slice in half lengthwise. Toast lightly in a toaster oven. Set aside to cool on a rack. Can be made earlier in the day, cool completely then store in airtight container.
Mash the avocado in a bowl with a fork. If you're making ahead of time, put the pit in the bowl to keep the mashed avocado from turning brown.
Right before serving, Spread a heaping tablespoon of mashed avocado on to a toast point. Sprinkle with a little sea salt.
Makes six to eight toast points.
