1 beef tenderloin, trimmed

2 Tbsp melted butter

salt and pepper



Preheat oven to 450 degrees

Place tenderloin on a heaving sheet pan. Season with salt and pepperand brush with melted butter.

Bake at 450 degrees for 15 minutes. Reduce heat to 350 degrees and continue cooking until internal temperature reaches 125 degrees.

Remove from oven, tent with foil and let sit fifteen to twenty minutes.

Can be made several hours before. Cool and refrigerate.

Slice. Can be rewarmed briefly in a 350 degree oven if desired.
