beauty, place and grace
entertaining with style- making it work for youMake a new year’s resolution to craft a more beautiful world. Creating a fresh bouquet instantly enhances any living space. It’s as easy as one, two, three. Something so effortless as three fresh cut blooms placed in bud vases. Surrounded by votives. Mercury glass adds that certain sparkle.
When creating a centerpiece count on odd numbers. Threes, fives and sevens can transform something simple into one truly special.
An arrangement on your table should always be low. The cardinal rule is that if you set your elbow vertically on the table it should never be higher than your fist. The point of this main attraction is to add ambience not to hamper contact between your guests. And nothing is more attractive than low flickering lights.
Elevating your senses does not need to break the bank. I picked up these mercury bud vases on sale from Pottery Barn.
Along with a set of four votives.
I’m so fortunate to have a rose garden right outside my door in California. But you can easily pick up single blooms at the grocery store or from your florist. Always re-cut the stems at a steep angle and place immediately in water to ensure your arrangement will last.
Arrange the bud vases in a line down the center of your table then stagger the votives.
Here’s to a beautiful 2014!
